Bloomsday 2017 – Getting Up James Joyce’s Nose

Nature of Event: The Bloomsday in Melbourne Festival in 2017 gets right up James Joyce’s nose, with an intensive look at how he deals with smell, the Cinderella of the senses as far as literature is concerned. The centrepiece of the festival is a play which puts Ulysses, Joyce’s masterpiece into collision with steampunk, circus and vaudeville.

The festival runs from 14-18 June. There are three events. Book separately for each event, or take a day pass on 16 June.
