Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.
The two papers are:
MICHAEL MEEHAN : ‘The Portrait – fifty years after, and fifty years on’. Professor Meehan is an Emeritus Professor at Deakin University in Professional Writing and Literary Studies, and himself an acclaimed novelist.
JANET STRACHAN : ‘Portrait and Love Song: The Modernist masks of Joyce and Eliot as young men and artists’. Ms Strachan is a gifted teacher and an expert on Modernist Poetry.

When: 16 June 2016, 3.30pm until 5.00pm, or a little later. We’ll retire to bar after the seminar and before dinner.
Where: Papa Goose Restaurant, 91 Flinders Lane, Melbourne. The restaurant is close by the theatre, so it is easy to fit together the seminar, dinner and the show.
Cost: $20 and $15 for those on health and student cards.
