2016 is the centenary of Ireland’s Easter Rising and the proclamation of the Irish Republic at the Dublin GPO on 24 April 1916. The Melbourne Celtic Club’s Cultural Heritage Committee is holding a series of commemorative events (which includes a competition to write a Proclamation for an Australian Republic.)
