Important information and changes

Each year the program is evaluated, reviewed and revamped in order to provide a fresher and an even better experience for all attending the school. The Lake School has become very popular and each year numbers of students has increased. While the Director and Committee strive to maintain an inclusive, immersive and community experience, this year the improvements to the programming will be more noticeable as some restrictions have been incorporated to accommodate for the larger numbers attending the school. On the plus side, this year’s program will have more options than you can swing a ‘Sally Rod’ at.

Feedback from last year by students and tutors raised concern about class sizes being too large, which impacted on the quality of the experience and enjoyment of all concerned. This has been factored into this year’s programming.

You will notice new programming options and experiences have been added which will effect the way the program is delivered which will impose restrictions on class sizes, options and how you book classes. We hope this will continue the Lake Schools culture of inclusiveness, immersive and community experiences.

In order to facilitate these improvements we would highly recommend that you study the program prior to embarking on your registration and that you choose your class with consideration for not only your enjoyment of the school but that of others too.

Classes will start on the first day following checking in.

Classes will be limited to maximum numbers and once reached the class will be closed to further enrolment.

We would discourage double booking of classes, please choose your preferred class for the year. There is always next year to fit in a different class and of course the slow session with Mark and Lisa.

There are two Ceilidhs, each with specified classes presenting and are designated a grouping in the booking process. Non-school students will be expected to pay a $10 entry fee at the door.

You MUST book for the ceilidh and present your ticket at the door. All others attending the Ceilidhs will be required to take places upstairs on the balcony.

Please take the time to read the program (see Further Information above) in  order to understand the changes and booking options.
