The Atlas of the Great Irish Famine, published by Cork University Press and co-edited by Michael Murphy, won the Irish Published Book of the Year.
The Famine is the most pivotal event in Irish modern history. Over a million people perished between 1845 -1852 and well over a million others fled to Europe, America, Australia and other locales.
The Atlas of over 700 pages includes expert analyses from over 50 contributors with a broad range of perspectives and insights into this event.
