  1. This is the Pub in Bendigo that I was ‘Racially abused’ and told to “go back to where I cane from” (which is Ireland), and had my Musical instrument broken, it is disappointing that any Irish Association supports such a Pub.

  2. Hello Mr Dolan,

The issue you speak of was between you and another patron. The CVIA has nothing to do with this issue and wishes to keep it that way. We are not an Advocacy Group. We are just a small non-profit organisation who promote Irish/Australian Culture and Heritage. The fact that we are holding this event in this Hotel is because it is called the Brian Boru Hotel, which is the name of the man our event commemorates.
From reading other media articles about this incident, which was a horrible experience for you, no doubt, they state the offending patron had apologised to you and that the matter was resolved.

    Regards,
    Dan O’Riordan
    President
    Central Victorian Irish Association Inc.
